Illegal Alien Hotline Trolled with Calls About UFOs

Trump's Immigration Crime Hotline Trolled with Calls About Aliens and UFOs.  It appears this hotline to report illegal aliens in the United States was launched on Alien Day which celebrates the movie franchise Alien.

The word from CBS News in this report according to a book entitled UFO Sightings Desk Reference is that California has more UFO sightings than any other state.  I don't know anything about the author.  A few other stories out there...

The Circus Continues

It never ceases to amaze me how these conferences/expos continue to subject audiences to frauds.  It doesn't matter how badly the fraud has been exposed, how many times they've been exposed, no matter how many times these frauds rip people off, or how many times they've been discredited.  Nope.  The only thing that seems to matter is selling tickets, putting butts in seats, and making money.

It looks like the New Life Expo is going to be playing host to convicted felon Sean David Morton.  Not only is Morton speaking at this event, it appears he'll be spewing the same nonsense that landed him in criminal court in which he was found guilty on numerous felonies.
Here's the description from the website:

So many people telling us we are all doomed! In this all new T.E.D presentation, Morton will give you all the latest information that solves many of the problems and challenges facing us today: How to keep children safe from vaccinations? How to stop the effects of cell phone radiation and chemtrails? What causes cancer and where are the best treatments? What products offer cutting edge science for life extension? How to change my status, stop being a 14th Amendment federal slave and use my birth certificate to take back ownership of my body? Don’t miss this seminar from one the greatest minds in the new age movement!
Sean David Morton is the author of the five star book series Sands of Time and host of the top rated Strange Universe Radio with over 2.5 million listeners. The incredible and amazing Dr. Sean David Morton will be bringing you cutting edge truth as you bathe in the power and wisdom that only knowledge can bring!
Don't listen to any of the legal or financial advice this clown Morton is giving - he's going to prison for offering some of the same advice.  Morton is scheduled to be sentenced June 19th and many are expecting him to serve time in federal prison.  His wife/fellow convicted felon Melissa Morton is scheduled to be sentence July 24th.

"I'm expecting that this entire thing is going to be dismissed way before it gets to that."  --Sean David Morton commenting on his federal criminal trial April 2016.  Morton was convicted April 2017.

The Dumb Dumb Chronicles

The past and karma certainly come home to roost...

"I am shaken to my core by all this. I have never stolen from anyone in my life, and I cannot even fathom how someone could risk incurring such karma for base, short term monetary gain. I am sure it happens every day, but I firmly believe as the Apostle Paul said, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”
Anyone who knows me and knows my body of work from listening to this show over the past 20 years knows that I am all about the truth and doing what is right, and that is what my wife and I have done ALL ALONG, and we will be fully vindicated from these baseless allegations." --Sean David Morton in a statement to Coast to Coast AM about charges made by the SEC that Morton swindled investors out of more than $6,000,000.00. Morton had a judgement issued against him and owes the SEC over $12,000,000.00.

"Make my words true, make my tongue straight..."  --Sean David Morton in a prayer prior to a lecture at the June 1993 UFO Expo West.  Morton was selling an audio tape he claimed had a sound that would "clear haunted houses" and stop alien abductions.

Speaking of Morton and the past, for a good laugh you can read The Vajra Chronicles.  This was back in 1994 where Morton claimed he could use a technique taught to him by monks in a Tibetan monastery.  Morton claims to channel his grandson from the future.  Problem is, Morton doesn't have any kids and the things he claimed would happen never came to pass - not surprising considering Morton's psychic hit rate is dismal at best.  What good is a psychic who cannot even see his own future legal troubles?

You Tube and UFOs

A look at some interesting hoax You Tube channels out there.  It used to be selling videos or DVDs at UFO conferences, now you don't have to leave your house to sell your bogus UFO wares.  Thirdphaseofmoon...?  Did anyone actually give those terrible videos any credibility to begin with?  And this video just looks like terrible - it doesn't help that bogus psychic/UFO con man/convicted felon Sean David Morton endorses it.

The Mask of Martyrdom

Saw this on Facebook today.

How about raising money for all the people these convicted felons defrauded? Don't give these wanna' be martyrs a penny. This isn't about government tyranny or freedom, this is about two people who ripped off others for countless thousands, got caught, and now they don't want to pay the price for their misdeeds.

I'm sure the people who paid Morton and his wife $10,000 or the person who paid $2500 for bogus bonds and empty promises of resolving their financial problems would like their money back.  Or how about the elderly lady who lost her entire life savings in their psychic investment scheme?  These two have sadly left a path of human wreckage in their wake.

In the midst of claiming they were broke and homeless in 2015, these two sure seemed to be living just fine with season tickets to USC football games...

Morton court law decreed

Most people understand that individuals just can't make up their own court to sue people in or for their own convenience.  Well, that's most people.  "Legal expert" and convicted felon Sean David Morton seems to think otherwise and told the court in California he was going to make his own court.  Yes, Morton actually filed papers with the court trying to establish "morton court" with his own set of rules.

In yet another embarrassing and disjointed document filed with the court - you really can't call it a brief or a legal document because it is so poorly written and baffling - Morton attempts to feed the court more nonsense including phrases such as:

"i, man in this court of record sue wrongdoers for trespass by way of forgery."

"i charge fees to compensate me for trespass, wrongdoers have knowledge of my fees."

"April 3 2017, the total debt I claim each wrongdoer owes me is $2,048,000. i require additional $4000 for each day starting April 4, 2017 that the trespass continues."

It seems Morton is serving some pseudo legal notice he's suing what looks to be the attorneys from the Attorney General's office because they, what, prosecuted Morton for being a criminal...?  Anyone else envisioning Judge Judy rolling her eyes?

Read the investigation that exposed The Shameless Psychic and His Prophey of Lies.

The document blathers on with a mix of legal jargon, referencing books, and it...it just...wow.  You're welcome to read the dizzying five pages written by Morton.  The attachments with the document include the search warrant that was served on Morton's apartment and the original superseding indictment, which Morton befuddling claims are forged documents.  A few highlights from "morton court":

"I am not a US citizen, furthermore do not wish to be subject to any jurisdiction over my body, life, happiness, and liberty at this time."

"Creatures of statutes and legal codes are harmful animals"

"Anyone may renounce a law introduced for his own benefit."

So it seems Morton (pictured left) believes he should be free to do what he wants when it suits him, including swindling people out of their life savings and victimizing others financially for personal gain.

It isn't that hard to properly file your taxes within the constraints of the law and avoid doing something stupid, say, like filing a false tax return and forging documents in hopes of a quick score.  That score might have a high price attached to it because Morton is facing a statutory maximum of 650 years in federal prison when he is sentenced on June 19th.

Bogus Psychic Guilty in Fraud Scheme

Melissa Morton (left) and Sean David Morton (right) were both
convicted on numerous federal fraud and conspiracy charges.
A federal jury has found both Sean David Morton and Melissa Morton guilty on a combined 51 felony counts including fraud and conspiracy. The Mortons were both arrested this past January by federal agents and originally charged with 56 felony counts in what prosecutors called a "financial redemption scheme".

This isn't the first run in The Mortons have had with the legal system.  In 2010 the SEC sued The Mortons for their part in what was described as a "psychic scheme" in which The Mortons defrauded investors out of more than $6,000,000.00 including an elderly woman who lost her life savings in the scheme.  The Mortons were also sued by some of the investors.  Sean David Morton claimed he could use his supposed psychic powers to predict the stock market.

Sean David Morton, who has been on the UFO and psychic scene for years, had many of his claims exposed in the ufowatchdog.com investigation, The Shameless Psychic and His Prophecy of Lies.  Morton filed a lawsuit in 2003 against ufowatchdog.com claiming the website and its editor had libeled him.  Morton lost the lawsuit after he failed to show a single false statement had been made in the article.  Morton was ordered to pay ufowatchdog.com $16,000.00 in legal fees.

Hermosa Beach Couple Found Guilty in Tax Scam and Passing Fraudulent Financial Instruments to Pay Off Debts

LOS ANGELES – A federal jury this afternoon convicted a Hermosa Beach couple of a host of charges related to their participation in a scheme that filed fraudulent tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service seeking millions of dollars in refunds and used bogus financial instruments as a way to pay off debt.

Sean David Morton, 58, and his wife, Melissa Ann Morton, 50, each were convicted of one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, two counts each of filing false claims against the United States, and various counts of passing false or fictitious financial instruments (specifically, 26 counts against Sean Morton, and 25 counts against Melissa Morton).

On the fourth day of trial, the jury heard closing arguments and deliberated for approximately two hours before issuing the guilty verdicts.

The charges against the Mortons stem from their participation in a “redemption” scheme, which is the most common scheme used across the nation by tax defiers and “sovereign citizens.” Proponents of this scheme falsely claim that the United States government controls bank accounts – often referred to as “U.S. Treasury Direct Accounts” – for U.S. citizens that can be accessed by submitting paperwork with state and federal authorities. Individuals promoting this scam frequently cite various discredited legal theories and may refer to the scheme as “Redemption” or “Strawman.” This scheme, which repeatedly has been rejected by courts, predominately uses fraudulent financial documents that appear to be legitimate.

“These defendants orchestrated a scheme that used bogus ‘legal’ filings that sought to abuse the tax system and defraud the IRS out of millions of dollars,” said Acting United States Attorney Sandra R. Brown. “These fraudulent schemes are designed to do only one thing – victimize others for profit.”

“Sean and Melissa Morton made multiple attempts to defraud the IRS and the taxpaying public,” stated Special Agent in Charge R. Damon Rowe for IRS Criminal Investigation. “Today’s verdict reinforces our commitment to every American taxpayer to identify and prosecute those individuals who devise illegal tax schemes to obtain refunds to which they are not entitled.”

The evidence presented at trial showed that the Mortons filed income tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service that falsely claimed they had income from various banking institutions reported on Forms 1099-OID. As part of the scheme, the Mortons falsely reported large withholdings and claimed they were owed refunds from the IRS.

As a result, the IRS erroneously issued a refund of $480,323 to Sean Morton for a 2008 income tax return. On the same day the refund was deposited into the Mortons’ joint bank account, the couple took immediate steps to conceal the money, which included opening two new accounts, transferring over $360,000 to the two new accounts, and withdrawing $70,000 in cash.
When the IRS took steps to collect the erroneous refund, the Mortons began a campaign to thwart the government’s collection efforts. Specifically, when the IRS placed a levy on the couple’s joint bank account, Melissa Morton repeatedly sent letters to the IRS that falsely claimed it was her sole and separate account.

When the IRS attempted to collect the erroneous refund from the Mortons, the Mortons presented to the IRS various “coupons” and “bonds” that purported to pay off their debt with the IRS. The Mortons created and submitted these bogus documents to the IRS, instructing the agency to draw upon funds with the United States Treasury to satisfy their debt.

The Mortons also sold the bond scheme to others who were in debt to governmental organizations, such as the IRS and the State of California, and private bank institutions for mortgage or credit card debt. The Mortons charged their clients thousands of dollars to prepare and file useless UCC-1 documents declaring their clients’ “strawman” status, and to prepare and send false bonds to the government or banks which purported to pay off the clients’ debt.

The Mortons are scheduled to be sentenced by United States District Judge Stephen V. Wilson on June 19.  As a result of today’s guilty verdicts, Sean Morton faces a statutory maximum sentence of 650 years in federal prison, and Melissa Morton could be sentenced to as much as 625 years.
The investigation into the Mortons was conducted by IRS Criminal Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Valerie Makarewicz and James C. Hughes of the Tax Division.

Government Rests Case Against Morton

In what amounted to a mere day and a half of trial time, the United States presented and rested its case against Sean David Morton who, along with his wife/co-defendant, is charged with 56 felony federal crimes including fraud and conspiracy.

The government presented its witnesses and introduced its evidence, which was apparently answered by Morton (pictured left) filing a motion to dismiss the case, which was in turn denied.

Morton and his wife were arrested by federal agents after disembarking from a 2016 Conspira-Sea cruise in California.  Morton and his wife are accused of defrauding the U.S. government out of nearly $500,000.00 they obtained using what the government claims was a falsified tax return.  The government also claims The Mortons quickly moved to withdraw the money to hide it, including a $70,000.00 cash withdraw.  The government alleges The Mortons also filed another false tax return in an attempt to obtain a nearly $3,000,000.00 return.
Read the investigation that exposed The Shameless Psychic and His Prophey of Lies.
In a 2013 bankruptcy proceeding, Morton stated under oath he was unemployed and did volunteer work claiming his hosting of an Internet radio show where subscribers were charged to listen to past shows and for merchandise was part of his volunteer work.  Morton also claimed he donated his time speaking at conferences in exchange for travel expenses and was not paid.

During the bankruptcy proceeding, Morton claimed the IRS owed him a tax return of over $4,000,000.00, a substantial return for someone claiming to be unemployed and recently evicted from his apartment.

The Mortons (pictured left) are also charged with filing false tax returns and financial instruments on behalf of others and charging people in what has been called a "financial redemption scheme", charging one couple $10,000.00 to eliminate their debts and tax problems with bogus bonds.  The couple's financial problems were not resolved by The Mortons who are alleged to have refused to refund the couple's money.

If convicted on all counts, The Mortons could face life in prison.

Court resumes Thursday (04/07/17) morning at 9:AM (PST) in Los Angeles.

Starfleet conspiracies and rambling

"They don't want you to know that they have an entirely alternate starfleet, if you will, that's patrolling a big chunk of the solar system."  -- Sean David Morton

I wonder if this video will come back to haunt "doctor" Sean David Morton who gives a fast summary of his alleged credentials including being a "legal scholar", since Morton appears to have claimed in court that he was just following the advice of others when preparing those alleged fraudulent tax returns.  Skip ahead to 6:15 to hear Morton ramble on...

Tax Scam Hinged on 'Secret Accounts' Theory, Judge Told

First day of Sean David Morton's trial started with opening statements.  Sounds like self-described "legal expert" Morton (pictured left) blabbed as he usual does with one reporter describing his opening remarks to the court as "discursive" with Morton making the false claim that he was the person who exposed Area 51 (we all know it was investigative journalist George Knapp who actually did that, not Morton).  I can only imagine the disjointed rambling Morton thought he could dazzle the court with.  Problem is, a court is not a radio program or a conspiracy convention as you actually have to be able to proffer facts.

Speaking of facts, you can read the jury verdict form for each of the charges Morton and his wife/co-defendant are facing.

Read the investigation that exposed The Shameless Psychic and His Prophey of Lies.
A recap of today's opening proceedings can be read below...

Tax Scam Hinged On ‘Secret Accounts’ Theory, Jury Told

Law360, Los Angeles (April 4, 2017, 11:00 PM EDT) -- A California couple accused of seeking millions in unwarranted tax refunds believe in a complicated theory that Americans are the collateral backing U.S. currency and can pay debts through their “secret accounts,” a federal jury heard Tuesday during opening statements in their tax fraud trial.

Defendants Sean David Morton and Melissa Morton are charged with conspiring to defraud the United States, filing false claims and passing fictitious financial instruments, in violation of federal laws. The charges stem from their participation in a so-called “redemption scheme,” which according to the government’s trial brief is “the most prevalent nationwide scheme used by tax defiers and sovereign citizens” and has been in use in some form since at least 1987.

During opening statements Tuesday, Assistant U.S. Attorney James C. Hughes told the jury that the Mortons individually filed false income tax returns with the IRS for certain years starting from 2005. Sean Morton’s returns sought millions of dollars in refunds. One scheme the couple employed was filing phony Forms 1099-OID, showing purported income interest earned and taxed from financial institutions like Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase Bank to support their claims for refunds.

“There's a problem with this. The banks are going to tell you that they never issued those 1099s to the defendants. They never earned any interest from the banks and the banks never paid any withholdings to the IRS,” Hughes told the jury. “These withholdings didn't exist.”

The Mortons also submitted to the IRS bogus documents titled “Coupon for Setoff, Settlement, and Closure” and “Non-Negotiable Discharging Bond and Indemnity,” which they purported to be actual securities and financial instruments issued under the authority of the United States that could be used as a means to pay off debts.

Sean Morton is representing himself at trial pro se. An attorney for Melissa Morton, Steven Brody of the Law Offices of Steven A. Brody, told the jury that the government has no evidence that his client set out to defraud the IRS or that she “didn’t believe 100 percent in the legitimacy” of the documents she filed. The government has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the Mortons acted in bad faith, he added.

“They have to prove to you that they set out to lie, cheat and steal,” Brody said. “And you’re not going to see that evidence.”

The couple, he said, met a “tax and finance guru” at a “new agey” store where Sean Morton, a “colorful character,” would sometimes lecture, the attorney said. The pair jumped on board with theories they were told about U.S. Department of the Treasury money held in their name that can be accessed.

The Mortons believed that “in 1933 the United States went off the gold standard and at that time instead of backing the United states currency with gold, it was backed by the U.S. citizens,” Brody told the jury. “The U.S. citizens became the collateral for our debts, the debts of the U.S. government. And [they were] taught that if you knew the right steps, if you knew the right language, if you had the right instruments, if you had the right laws, you could use these sort of secret accounts of collateral to pay off your debts to the public.”

Their belief in the theory was bolstered when other people they knew began to get refunds based on “this 1099 OID process,” the attorney said. Eventually, the couple began to help others prepare the bond and tax document.

During his discursive opening statement, Sean Morton told the court that he was being falsely accused of doing something wrong when he did nothing more than “follow the advice of people I respected, who had a deep understanding about the financial system.” He also lauded the first Americans, who wished to “live free from the burdens of the crown” and who wrote the Constitution; said that he and Melissa Morton were not married by law because “that puts more than one person in bed with you”; and exclaimed he’s a film producer and investigative reporter, “who exposed Area 51,” the military site where there’s been claims of UFO sightings.

The government wants to throw the couple in jail for the rest of their lives, he said, “for filing paperwork that didn’t harm anybody,” he said.

The indictment against the couple includes an allegation that Sean Morton filed a false 2006 income tax return in 2010 that requested a refund of $2,809,921.

In court Tuesday, the attorney for the government said that while most of the refunds the defendants submitted were caught by the IRS, so no refunds were paid, one “slipped through,” and in April 2009 the IRS paid Melissa Morton a refund of $480,322 that was deposited into a joint account held by the couple.

“You’re going to see bank records showing just how fast the Mortons moved to get these funds out of that account,” Hughes said.

The prosecutor also told the jury that the Mortons committed fraud against not only the government but also against others. One witness will testify that she paid the couple $2,500 to put together the bond paperwork that they said would pay off her student loan debt. It didn’t, and the Mortons refused to provide her with a refund.

The United States is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Valerie L. Makarewicz and James C. Hughes.

Sean David Morton is representing himself pro se. Melissa Morton is represented by Steven Andrew Brody of the Law Offices of Steven A. Brody.

The case is U.S. v. Morton et al., case number 2:15-cr-00611, in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

The Strawman Gets Soaked

Sean David Morton accused of 56 federal
crimes is facing a maximum 650 year
prison sentence.
In the federal criminal case against Sean David Morton and his co-defendant/wife/alleged co-conspirator, the prosecutor is asking for the judge to allow entry of evidence pertaining to a 2013 bankruptcy proceeding involving Sean David Morton and his wife. The Mortons are fighting introduction of this evidence and for good reason.

It seems The Mortons were in the process of a bankruptcy hearing when they were alleged to have been caught lying under oath and failed to disclose assets involving a business called Heaven & Earth, LLC.  You can read the 2013 transcript of this bankruptcy hearing attached here to the U.S. District Attorney's recent motion to the court.  Morton and his wife fumble through this bankruptcy hearing in what appears to be a clear cut attempt to deceive the bankruptcy officials about their Heaven & Earth, LLC business.  At one point, Morton claims the LLC was formed by tenants in a building to pay rent, then later admits it was used to sell "educational materials".

So what does this have to with the criminal case against Morton?  Keep reading, this will all make sense in a minute...
Read the investigation that exposed The Shameless Psychic and His Prophey of Lies.
Morton and his wife are accused of what the government calls a "strawman" scheme, which is a theory advocated by tax defiers and sovereign citizen movement members that an individual actually has two personas; one as a human being and the other a separate legal persona who is the "strawman".  This pseudo legal theory, which has been held as illegal by state and federal courts, is that a person's taxes and debt belong to the "strawman" persona and not the individual.  Further, those who believe in this nutty theory think you can issue self made bonds or redemption packages to eliminate all tax and debt.  These kits are sold to people and when the scheme fails to eliminate any debt, those selling the kits often claim the paperwork was incorrectly submitted.

Sean David Morton and Melissa Ann Morton
on a cruise ship prior to their arrest by federal agents.
During the bankruptcy, it appears Morton failed to pay a rather large tax lien brought against him by the state of California.  Morton issued a "bond" in the amount of $1,000,000.00 to California in an attempt to alleviate the debt using the "strawman" theory.  The tax board did release the lien against Morton, but not because of the bogus bond he's alleged to have sent them.  The tax board released the lien because their records showed Morton had filed bankruptcy.  This is where it gets interesting...

Morton is then alleged to have shown one of his "bond" clients (I prefer to call them victims) this letter as proof that his "bond" scheme worked to relive debt.  Problem is, Morton received a lengthy letter from the tax board clearly spelling out that the tax board would not accept what Morton referred to as a "legal monetary instrument" as it was not a valid form of payment.

So the government is now alleging Morton knew his "bond" scheme did not work with the tax board and in spite of this he used the release letter as a means to entice a client to pay him for a bond package.  Morton is alleged to have charged one couple $10,000 for a "bond package".  Apparently, the wife of this couple, her husband is now deceased, is set to testify against The Mortons in the criminal case.

Over the years of having investigated Morton, the people I've spoken with, and the mounting legal cases against him (civil and criminal), Morton seems to leave a path of human wreckage in his wake.  During the time Morton and his wife defrauded investors out of more than $6,000,000 in their psychic investment scheme, one elderly woman lost her entire life savings while other lost countless thousands.  I'm curious to see exactly how many people are alleged to have fallen victim to Morton and this latest scheme he is charged with.

If you are having tax or other financial problems, please seek the advice of a qualified tax or financial professional, or an attorney who is licensed to practice in these areas.  Avoid idiots trying to sell you a quick way out of any financial problems you might be having.  You should especially avoid morons claiming to be psychic or so-called self taught legal experts who offer quick fixes to long term problems.

Morton's criminal trial is set to start  April 4, 2017, this coming Tuesday, at 8:30AM in the Los Angeles Federal Courthouse.
